Early Development of Global Education/The EDGE
Cutler Bay, FL  33189

Cutler Bay, FL August 1, 2007  - The Early Development of Global Education, LLC / EDGE was founded on March 21, 2007 by four professionally educated women who wanted to make a difference today for tomorrow’s future. The EDGE is about the education and development toward the conservation and protection of our planet. The EDGE mission as a teacher and conscious educated adults is to secure a better, safer and existing tomorrow for our children's children! Through hard work and sacrifices, tomorrow is guaranteed a brighter safer way and is only now beginning its plan of action. The EDGE wants to find a way of making a message become an action, and we must teach a new way of living. This begins with a strong foundation, for each child, through the Early Development of Global Education –The EDGE.

Additionally, the EDGE has designed its own environmental curriculum for ages 2-5 to enrich and broaden the thinking of each child it serves. Those Topics are; Conservation, Recycling, Solar Energy and Environment. The children will engage in activities meant to make them think about what is necessary to keep the earth healthy and encourage a role of leadership in their own families. This curriculum will be the first step for each child in a life full of conscious and thoughtful living. In its efforts to accomplish these goals the EDGE had decided to support Old Cutler Academy Learning Center in the upcoming 2007/08 school year with materials, programs and ground breaking environmental curriculum.

As an EDGE school, it was a priority that the children understand the concept of recycling. Therefore, the majority of materials used for the Proclamation were created by the students of Old Cutler Academy Learning Center. The children not only had a wonderful experience throughout this project, but also learned great values; such as teamwork, reinforcing the “green concept” through leading by example, and helping educate their community on how to be “green” in an effort to save our planet.

The EDGE also offers (3) membership categories to educators, corporations and individuals. These members can take advantage of a wide array of resources and benefits to help improve their work with children, corporations and individuals. This will assist to further educate and influence corporate environment on how to preserve, conserve, recycle and reuse to ensure a safer, cleaner environment.

The latest addition coming, this fall, to the Early Development of Global Education is the EDGE Charitable Foundation which supports the teaching, programming and development of Early Development of Global Education (EDGE) schools and other children’s charities by promoting excellence in environmental education and innovative children’s services through local, regional, national and international populations.

The EDGE Charitable Foundation, through the help of community partners, will be recognized as a leader in environmental education and children’s services. We will create environmental educational facilities and programming geared toward children between the ages of two and five years. In addition to environmental education, local, national and international youth populations will receive medical assistance, charitable goods, social services and literacy programming through our funding.

The E.D.G.E. and Old Cutler Academy Learning Center (OCALC) will receive a Proclamation by Commissioner Katie Sorenson & Mayor Paul Vrooman as the 1st Ecological friendly preschool in Florida.  OCLAC will be honored on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 20200 Old Cutler Road in Cutler Bay, Florida.

The event for the Proclamation has the communities support and contribution from the following sponsors: Diamonette Party Rental, Eventstar, Fortrex, Hispanic Police Officers Association, Little Blue Box Web Design, Publix Supermarkets, Rave Productions, Robert Suarez Photography, Staples, Vicky Bakery, Starbucks and Urban Art.
