DID YOU KNOW: According to the Center for Disease Control “On average, 1 out of 5 Americans suffer from influenza every year.In addition, influenza and its related complications result in an estimated 226,000 hospitalizations and 36,000 deaths in the US each year.
We all are at risk for contracting influenza. The results for some will be lost work or school days. But for those at highest risk, the results can be more serious – leading to hospitalization and even death. The best way to prevent influenza is with an annual flu shot.”

CHILD CARE PROVIDERS: BLEACH IN YOUR SCHOOL
Last week The Early Development of Global Education (EDGE) announced its newest development with The Department of Children and Families and their recognition of our report on the harmful affects of BLEACH and the use of harmful disinfectants in schools.
What Administrative Code did this have to do with?
The use of sanitizers and disinfectants in schools is associated with Florida Administrative Code 65C22-002.
Can I discontinue the use of bleach in my school?
Yes, you can. The Administrative Code does not mandate the use of bleach. This is a misconception that bleach is mandatory. It only suggests the solution ratio of bleach and water. Inspectors are misinformed and are requiring the use of bleach because they are not clear about the code or about the dangerous affects of bleach.
